Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition: A hopelessly addictive kick to the nuts

Says it on the tin really, Minecraft came to 360 and for us that is great as we like to use our thumbs, the rest of our fingers are shit.
I have nothing more to say about it. No review, no nothing, go buy it.

STOP SOPA, PIPA AND CENSORSHIP

Before I start, I went onto Google Images, like I always do and I used someone elses picture, for doing that, I could get the same sentence as someone guilty of manslaughter.
The thing is about SOPA & PIPA is that it was the creation of an idea, an idea of which takes the phenomenon of the internet and make it someone elses property, within American the Internet would no longer be public property due to extreme censorship of Media and information, we will no longer be able to be creative or even make a fart joke incase it’s owned by someone else.
My main point is, even if SOPA does not pass, the idea has been formed and been made acceptable to put forward in Government.
This isn’t just America under threat, we in the UK are also under Right winged political rule of the Conservatives, a party which are very keen on ideas such as censorship and control, just look at when the London Riots happened, it’s now illegal to even say that you’re going to cause a Riot or organise a protest which hasn’t been given permission on sites like Facebook.
My whole point is, the idea is now here and we must fight it till it isn’t acceptable to propose ANYWHERE in the world. Governments will use ANY excuse, prevention of piracy is just one of these, they could use the fact we could express dangerous opinions or anything that they could convince uneducated people that it’s dangerous.
Remember the UK is in just as much trouble with this idea, REMEMBER Pirate Radio? It was shut down due to the fact it was apparently interfering with ships signals, which was just a cover, the real reason was that PMs disapproved of it and thought it was dangerous to their control.
Please voice your opinion, speak out against these acts, reblog me, reblog others.

Anyone like my Kettle Tower?
A lovely lovely friend of mines Danielle, recommended that I play this game lovely Indie game ,’Terraria’, So she sent me it as a gift on the Steam store.
I’m hooked, hooked in a way I couldn’t on Minecraft as of yet.
So what in France do you do?
You’re a little Sprite, of which lives in a colourful world.. full of monsters and demons. You have to dig and chop to get materials to survive, you use them to build houses and items to keep you safe at night. Also, the more you do and collect, the further you progress, if you build a town, NPC’s will move in and before you blooms a beautiful world.
SO essentially you feel like God.
Beautiful game, if you’re not a player but play PC games, PLAY IT OR I’LL TOUCH YOU.

Star Wars: The Old Republic (PC MMO)

Before I start spewing a critique on this game, I don’t play MMO games, the only one I played before this was Anarchy Online and I have no idea about what is expected from an MMO and what isn’t, I’ll be judging it on gameplay.
So yeah, I previously made a post about the Knights Of The Old Republic games, if you’re looking for my opinion on this game, please take what I said about that and reimplement, The Old Republic is still as awesome as sex on a bouncey castle but with new twists.
Bioware have been wise, they have managed to keep the original game mechanics and feel of KOTOR whilst transforming it into an MMO, something which is easy to do with an RPG but hard to keep it from becoming the next World Of Warcraft.
Also, the Star Wars storyline and themes are still consistent and inspiring, making you feel like you’re an actual Jedi or Sith, which is important in a game, it’s why we don’t make games that involve you being a Customer Assistant… You pick from many classes and DON’T have to be a force sensitive player, you can go a Bounty Hunter or trooper, which makes things so much more interesting in the RPG world.
I only have a few minor problems with this game: Bioware have a new sort of approach to RPGs in which is to make them as little Role Playing as possible, thankfully this didn’t brush off as much as it did onto games like DragonAge and Mass Effect sequels however it did kill the choice response, as now there are very little to chose from.
Apart from that, great game, I can justify playing 9 quid a month to an extent, it’s ashame it costs so much though, my main problem with MMO’s.

Cloud Gaming? You might as well shoot Mario in the face.
It seems that I can’t escape this new way of gaming provided by a company called ‘OnLive’. Every single time I went to watch a youtube video or go on a gaming website this would hit me in the face like a child with ADHD wanting a hug.
‘SO WHAT IS CLOUD GAMING?’ the annoying American man would ask me unexpectedly, he then proceeded to tell me what it was.
I then discovered it’s another way to cut out having media storage of games, on disks and cartages and even installed on your PC, an aspect even Steam has kept in part. This kind of industry in my opinion, is killing the heart of gaming. It’s killing aspects to games such as box art, manuals, art on disks and of course, physical games and game shops and the best part is that they STREAM the games to you. So if the Internet goes down? Tough. Go play Cluedo with Gran.
Imagine this: You get a bike for Christmas, you’re having so much fun, face full of joy, then your local ISP dig up some cables and the internet goes down, GRAZED KNEES, BIKE VANISHES, TEARS!
It’s just an opinion, but I feel strongly for it, we should own the right to have a copy of a game, not just the right to access the game from somewhere else on someone elses terms, this isn’t what gaming is about, we have evolved since the times of Arcades, lets not roll back to giving money for things that aren’t truly ours!

Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time (3DS Edition)
Most Zelda fans can get really cynical when it comes to Zelda games, especially remakes, so I was a little nervous about playing this ‘remastered’ version, like performing heart surgery on yourself.
Yet this game is still as beautiful as when it came out for Nintendo 64 and has infact improved without destroying the feel of the original.
Things which have vastly improved:
The Graphics are much smoother, without taking away what they originally look like.
The Gyroscope sort of aiming function on 3DS actually works a treat, originally I thought this would be like a blindman playing house of the dead whilst on fire.
The 3D effect is actually quite cool and not just a gimmick.
You also get a new Boss mode, which is handy as it means I don’t have to restart the game to play a boss again, which I did have to do quite often i’m I’m honest.
I haven’t much more to say about this game rather than I am extremely happy with it, it couldn’t have been better. This game is both a reason for having a DS and for buying this game if you already do.

Uncharted Series - Drake’s Fortune, Among Thieves , Drake’s Deception

There is one thing about the Uncharted series which really haunts me as a player: The characters speak in a more lifelike way than some LIVING PEOPLE that I know, it’s one of these insane fact of life.
The Uncharted games are clearly the product of one thing, Naughty Dog being veterans of the gaming industry as it became more advanced, taking a few leaves out of the books of Edios, creators of Tomb Raider and keeping their passion to drive forward this game.
Uncharted has all of the THREE key elements of a good game:
The game play is immersive, fun and makes you want to SHOOT SOME BALLS.
Tricky and annoying puzzles which will make you hate the game more than a sprout within a pudding yet will make you try till you win and feel as successful as the guy in your class who didn’t go to University but got a job in a bank and does BLOODY BETTER THAN YOU… moving on.
A storyline worth playing for: You want to find out if Nathan Drake will either get his skull caved in or have crafty intercourse with the blonde sidekick.
This is part of my games to definitely play, as are all the games not titled ‘THIS GAME IS SUCKY BALLS’, however you might be thinking one of the following things:PS3 IS SHIT MAN XBOX FORVEVAAAAAAAA.. I CAN’T AFFORD A PS3, SHUT UP PHIL..
THIS DOESN’T HAVE KILLSTREAKS FUCK OFF.
WELL WHY DON’T YOU ALL FUCK UP. Apart from you without the PS3, you’re excused.
Indiana Jones meets Tomb Raider meets The mummy meets sexual pleasure.Play this game or I’ll haunt your cutlery drawer.

Assassins Creed: Revelations game review ratings
GameSpot  8.0
IGN 8.5
JoyStiq  4/5 (stars)GameFront 70/100
Wired 7/10A handful of the usual suspects.
If there is anything these mediocre ratings tells us it’s that this game be not so different from the rest of the Assassins Creed series, however this doesn’t mean it’s a bad game, the series is one of the best series’ of all time but game reviewers get bored, like children at the park with skinned knees and new acquired childhood bullies. We’ll give a review once we get our hands on a copy, until then we’re entirely unbiased or judgemental on this specific instalment, there are your stats though, I suppose they had to give something less than Modern Warfare (Bastards).Lets hope this game answers our questions and becomes a nice addition to the story. Look on the bright side, if the sceptics don’t like it and you do, you could get it cheaper after playing all the newer releases in 2011.
